Item Details
This excellent example of a Tiger Cat has been built over a three year period by the current owner to a very high standard. The vehicle passed its sva test in sept 2006 and was correctly registered with DVLA in Oct 2006. The vehicle is powered by a 2.0 pinto, which has been fully rebuilt at a cost of £700 (invoices to prove), the engine has covered less than a 1000 miles since. The engine has a twin choke weber carb 32/36, (again fully rebuilt, with invocies). The engine has also been fitted with electronic ingitrion. All of this is connected to a Ford 5 speed gearbox and standard rear diff. Both the gearbox and diff have been cleaned, repainted and oil replaced. The chassis has been fully powder coated by Tiger when purchased. The chssics rails have also been waxed inside during the build process, together with the alloy panels beening sealed and rivited to the frame, all to prevent corrosion forming and seal out water ingress. The fibre glass is in good condition and the yellow gel coat still shines when in the sun. Alloy paneling is also in good condition. I have a full book of invoices for loads of new parts during the build process, including new brakes (front and rear), Clutch, cambelt, waterpump, alternator, fuel pump, modified clutch and throttle cables from Randell Motor Sport, including a performance ITG air filter. The vehicle has five ford alloy wheels, 15" which are near perfect, with five nearly new tyres 205/50 (invoce for £300 for tyres). The last improvement was the fitting of a complete hood and side screens, supplied by Tiger, the vehicle has not been used in the wet, hood/screens purchased to reduce wind nosie so that our daughter would ride in the vehicle. The vehicle is taxed and will be sold with a new MOT (current MOT has expired). This is an excellent and fun vehicle to drive and own, the whole vehicle has been kept simply for easy maintainnce without the need to use expensive garages. The vehicle is still really quick on accelration (which I feel is more important than top end speed), but is also an enjoy to drive and reliable especially in this hot summer weather (when it returns). The vehicle has not been on any track days, just normal road use. The reason for selling this vehicle is mainly because of family life, the space in the garage would also be useful. The vehicle is advertised else where, so could be removed at any time, please no time wasters or tyre kickers. Any questions then please feel free to email me or call. It further images are required I would be happy to send by email or can burn a disc and post. I still have the original Tiger build manual along with a complete folder of invoices and sva test/DVLA. Many thanks. |
