A very quick Lotus 7 copy.
Powered by a fuel injected, turbocharged 4 litre Rover V8.
3995cc Rover V8, fully rebuilt with new parts. As part of the rebuild, the engine was strengthened, lightened and balanced. The result is smooth and seamless power across the rev range. The ignition and fuelling are controlled by a Megasquirt ECU. A full engine spec is available, if required.
Performance is 0-60 in 4 seconds, and a standing quarter-mile in 12.5 seconds at 120mph.
New T03/T04 hybrid turbocharger, selected to match the engine. K&N air filter and remote dump valve, with front mounted aluminium intercooler. Silicon hoses used throughout.
Transmission is through a Borg-Warner T5, 5 speed gearbox, with Cosworth friction plate & heavy duty clutch, and a Quaife limited-slip differential fitted. The front suspension is poly-bushed, the rear axle uses drag-race spec rose joints.
The car has excellent brakes - front discs are vented and cross drilled, fitted with 4 pot calipers and ARP green-stuff pads (fast road use). Stainless braided lines, with cupro-nickel brake pipes.
The weight distribution is 48% front axle / 52% rear axle, giving excellent road handling - slight understeer that can be controlled on the throttle.
The chassis has been galvanised, and the bodywork is aluminium / grp, so corrosion will never be a problem.
Comes with a towing 'A' Frame, so that the car can be towed like a trailer.
