2003 Fisher fury kit car

MOT March 2013, Tax end of oct 2012. 15000miles. Live axle car, MK2 escort based. 2003 age related plate, as car was built with 95% new /refurbished parts – not on a Q plate!
I have owned the car around 4 years, and have rebuilt the front end of the car – it started out with a crossflow engine, but has been swapped to a more modern and powerful to 1.8 zetec engine. It has 130 cams, vernier cam pulleys, running on fireblade throttle bodies, stainless 4 in 1 exhaust, magnicor leads, Megasquirt programmable ECU – around 150hp in a 600kg car, so it has the performance to go with the looks!! So many engine installs in kit cars look bodged, i have spent alot of time and effort to ensure a neat and tidy engine bay, as the photos show.
EBC green stuff front discs/pads, standard escort rear, adjustable bias. Adjustable suspension all round. Cobra bucket seats and 4 point harnesses. Mostly Ford running gear ensure cheap running costs. This car is a real head turner, unfortunately too many projects means i don’t have the time to use it as much as i would like, hence its sale.
Currently car is not fully mapped, needs rolling road session to dial the fuelling and ignition in a bit better, but it is drivable as is. Has a hood and side screens, but i don’t use these as its very small even with the roof off!! Very usable on the road, with a trimmed interior, its not a stripped out race car.
This is already a fast car, with more to come with the fueling tweaked. kit car insurance is very good value for the performance this car has! Regrettable sale
