1984 Dutton Melos 2.0 Ford Pinto Kit car, Westfield Locost Caterham TIGER Robin sports car unique

Here for sale is my Rebuilt Dutton Melos 1984 locost style kit car
It has done 19000 miles.

The Car was originally fitted with 1.3 xflow engine but has now been fitted with a 2.0l pinto and mated to a type 9 sierra 5 speed gearbox.

The car is recently rewired and has had a MOT until July 2017
The starter motor is recently rebuilt and she has just had new leads, Plugs, Temerature gauge etc
The alloys have been upgraded to 16” 7j and 9j wide wheels.
Has been fitted with bucket seats and 3 point safety harnesses.

The original dutton bodywork was taken off and the chassis was stripped back and repainted, the front and rear suspension has been upgraded to coil overs with a 5 link rear suspension setup, though only the front is adjustable.
The original bodywork was ditched and mk Indy rear arches and nose cone were fitted along with other body panels which I made from aluminium sheet, the original dutton chassis and tub still remain.

This isnt a showroom condition car, and does have the odd niggle (Dodgy fuel gauge, odd bump here and there) but there is no other way to get this much fun for this little money, it will have a smile on your face every second of the way.

This car is not for the reserved, it will grab the attention of all who pass it, people will want your photograph, and due to the lack of windscreen, it will change your hairstyle, but you will never ever regret it.

Im only selling as i plan to travel to asia in the coming months so sadly cannot justify keeping it :(
