caterham blackbird replica

This is an unfinished project, but dont be fooled into thinking this is not as good as the genuine thing!

The chassis for this car has been handbuilt to caterham specifications, and is the nearest you will get to a genuine chassis without paying over £4000 for the real thing! All suspension is genuine, brand new caterham, with de-dion back axle and wide track racing front wishbones. rear diff is the usual sierra 7''.

all panels are genuine, brand new caterham and include, windscreen scuttle with heated screen, fibreglass nosecone, bonnet and wheel arches (again ALL genuine caterham).

There is one brand new caterham cloth seat and headreast, with new suede steering wheel and quick release + 2 brand new caterham side doors

Brakes are second hand sierra, completely overhauled with new seals and painted along with new aeroquip hoses. There is also a brand new caterham supplied master cylinder.

electrical items include all lighting (brand new) and engine electrics.

Now onto the good stuff! The engine is a virtualy new Honda blackbird (came out of a damaged bike) and looks like new!!!! There is also a complete dry sump system including tanks and pipes.

Reverse gear is provided by a brand new (never used) quaife reverse box (£700 when bought).

there is also a brand new caterham quick steering rack.

To finish this project would need a fuel tank, prop shafts (westfield can supply) 4 14" wheels, (there is a set of 4 yokohama a008 tyres, brand new and 1 brand new 14" minilites included), another seat, instruments and the chassis covering in alloy (not a complicated job on a caterham) For less than £7k you could have an absolubtly stunning car.....................If you are interested e mail me at paulcollins102@gmail.com and i will send you some photographs of the car and components.
